Bishop Alexander Carter participates in 2014 Santa Claus parade
Bishop Alexander Carter staff and students participated in this year’s Sudbury Santa Claus Parade. The theme of the parade was Christmas past and future. The Bishop float depicted Christmas of the future with students dressed as robots delivering Christmas gifts. There was a large rocket on the float made from equipment used in the Manufacturing Specialist High Skills Major program. The float was constructed by students in the Welding class who prepared a special mount for a projector which showed an animated robot delivering Christmas gifts. This animation was created using programs in our Communication and Technology Specialist High Skills Major program. To go along with the theme of the float, students handed out candy rockets to the children along the parade route. Bishop Alexander Carter staff and students want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
