Ma'iingan (Wolf) Project
Through the lens of the Seven Grandfather and Five Rascals teachings, select grade 9 boys will enrich their learning through hands-on projects, skills training, mentorship, cultural experiences, and an overnight retreat. The goal of the Ma'iingan Project is to address the specific needs of young men to develop their mind, body, and spirit.
The Sudbury Catholic District School Board’s Getting Connected Initiative has facilitated the implementation of wireless access into the Bishop Alexander Carter student learning environment. Students are encouraged to bring their own devices.
Excellence in Literacy and Numeracy

Bishop Alexander Carter offers a French Immersion program option which is available to all students.
BAC is well known for its Technology programs including Construction, Welding, Automotive and Small Engines.
As part of their studies in secondary school, students may select cooperative education courses to assist them with their career planning.
The Guidance Program at Bishop Alexander Carter C.S.S. focuses on student orientation, education, and career planning, linkages with post-secondary institutions and apprenticeship and workplace initiatives.
The Open Doors Program
An alternative program where significant support is provided to increase student achievement and increase credit accumulation through in-class programming, experiential, project-based, alternative and e-learning experiences. The overall academic student goal is the achievement of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). This program is designed for all students including suspended students.
